Our popular Fastelavn, AKA Danish Mardi Gras will take place in theDanish Athletic Club. Dress in costume ( if you wish ), hit the barrel, eat delicious Danish food with special cream buns for dessert. Music by Ellen Lindstrom. Norwegian Folk Dancing Lessons
We are happy to announce that the Norwegian Folk Dance Society of New York is providing Norwegian Folk dance classes on Mondays from 3:30 – 4:30 (when public school is in session) at Christ Church 7301-Ridge Boulevard for children and families. The cost is $5.00 per session.

The classes are taught by Paul Busse, Dance Leader of the organization. There will be performance opportunities for those who are interested. Participants will also learn about Scandinavian culture and traditions through art projects and food samplings twice a month.

Chinese Auction with a Scandinavian Twist

Admission is $20 and includes 10 raffle tickets, dinner and dessert. All proceeds to
benefit the Scandinavian East Coast Museum of Brooklyn.

Annual Viking Festival
Saturday, May 15
Noon to 5PM
Owl's Head Park, Colonial Road and 68th Street, Brooklyn
Replica Viking Ship, food, vendors, entertainment. Admission is free.

S.E.C.M. Meeting Schedule
The SECM has meetings every other month from October through June, usually on the first Thursday of the month.  We will be alternating between the Danish Athletic Club at 741 - 65th Street and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at 414 - 80th Street (entrance on the 4th Avenue.)
